The music industry stands at a turning point. In an international context increasingly less favourable to DEIA, our sector must remain mobilised to defend and promote the values that enable music to emerge and circulate freely around the world, catering to global markets and audiences. To achieve this, a leadership shift is needed in our industry: one that prioritises equity, inclusion and diversity, championing the perspectives of women, non-binary individuals and underrepresented communities, fostering collaboration and intersectional representation. This panel will explore the growing pressure to diversify leadership positions across the industry in challenging times, and discuss the opportunities that come with this shift. We will highlight the economic and creative advantages of fostering a more inclusive leadership culture and share strategies for driving systemic change.
