Toni-Matti KarjalainenFI

Dr. Toni-Matti Karjalainen works as Professor of Arts Management and Head of MuTri Doctoral School and Research Unit at the Sibelius Academy, University of the Arts Helsinki. He has over two decades' experience as researcher, research leader, educator, supervisor, evaluator, speaker, and event organiser. Karjalainen has produced over one hundred publications in academic and popular fora, themes ranging from design management, branding, and product development to arts management, music and culture export, and heavy metal music, to name a few. His various projects have also involved close collaboration with the industry and practitioners, artists and music business operators in particular. Karjalainen has also participated actively in developing education and research within the creative fields.
