Before training as a counsellor, Laurie spent over twenty years in the music industry, working in almost every area. She worked promoter-side at festivals, within music sponsorship and marketing, to eventually becoming Content Manager and booker at the O2 Arena in London. In addition to her counselling practice, she is still actively involved in music today, managing and developing artists for an independent label.
Laurie has seen the industry from all perspectives and has a very deep understanding of the unique challenges people working within music face and how that can impact on everyday life. As an integrative counsellor, she uses different types of therapy to combine ideas from various approaches, like exploring past experiences and focusing on emotions and current challenges.
