For the past ten years, Marko Veisson has been active as an artist and talharpa player with the Estonian zombie-folk band Puuluup. However, there was a time when Veisson dreamed of a career in social anthropology and conducted fieldwork in Northern Ghana. The musical life and tours with Puuluup across various folk and world music clubs and festivals have undoubtedly overshadowed these academic pursuits. Participation in Eurovision 2024 added a considerable dose of showbusiness glamour to this experience. Undoubtedly, though, a certain anthropological perspective continues to accompany Veisson in his navigation of the music industry, and hopefully, this will be evident in this panel as well.
