Kees van Weijen celebrates 50 years in the entertainment industry, having worked in the Netherlands, Belgium and Great Britain since 1974. Throughout his career, he has served as Executive Vice-President at Universal Music and Managing Director of Mercury, MCA and Polydor, as well as Rough Trade Distribution. He has worked with numerous renowned artists including INXS, Kiss, Elton John, Dire Straits, LIVE, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Metallica, No Doubt, U2, Lionel Richie, Caro Emerald, Tiësto, Jimmy Lidel, Armin van Buuren and The Editors. Currently, he serves as Managing Director of HIT4US.com. His contributions to the music industry have been recognised with several prestigious awards, including the "Zilveren Fonograaf" from Dutch IFPI, the Outstanding Contribution Award from IMPALA and the Special Merit Award from RUNDA. He is President of STOMP (Stichting Onafhankelijke Muziek Producenten) in the Netherlands and former Chairman and President of IMPALA.
