Technology, AI and the future of work, future of education, digitalisation and e-governance, energy policy and the future of transport, e-residency and the future of states are the topics he covers in politics and delivers keynote speeches about at conferences.
Kalle has been responsible for many legislative initiatives to enable technology and e-governance in Estonia. One of his latest successes was leading the process to create the legal framework for platforms like Uber and Taxify/BOLT to operate in the Estonian market legally. It was the first time this had happened anywhere in Europe. Today, in most countries regulating such platforms, the Estonian bill is always used as an example to follow.
Kalle has also worked as a member of the board of directors at Eesti Energia (Enefit), an international energy company operating in the Baltic and Nordic energy markets, and as a board member at Tallinn Airport.
