Irina Shtreis is a researcher and music journalist, contributing to MOJO, Record Collector, The Quietus and Under The Radar. Her byline has appeared on Louder Than War and The Reykjavik Grapevine. As part of her PhD project in collaboration with the University of Iceland, the writer has been drawing a parallel between fanzine scenes and punk communities of Iceland and the UK. Irina is also a musician. Her ambient-folk solo project can be found on different streaming platforms under the writer’s name.
