Chairman of SOM, Founder & Head Smilodon, Music Lawyer
Eva Karman Reinhold is the president of SOM (Sweden's independent label association) and a board member of IMPALA. SOM represents over 330 independent music companies and was founded in 1974 as a Nordic organisation called NIFF.
Eva studied music and production before starting her long career in the music industry at STIM and independent companies MNW and Gazell. She started her own record label and music publishing company Smilodon in 2004, and then went on to study law (Master of Law, LLM.). As a music lawyer, she represents artists, managers and independent companies. In 2015 she returned to music and is the songwriter, producer and singer in MahRoot, a Swedish reggae/ska band.
