Bashar Murad is a Palestinian pop artist, singer-songwriter, and filmmaker creating globally influenced pop music deeply rooted in the Palestinian spirit. His musical repertoire spans pop, electronica, and modal inflections, encompassing an expansive and creative sonic world. His powerful visual narratives reflect an infectious drive to liberate oneself and society from all forms of oppression, drawing inspiration from his environment in Jerusalem and his artistic travels.
A versatile and prolific collaborator, Bashar has worked with the Icelandic industrial punk band Hatari, creating the single "Klefi/Samed" and subsequently touring together. He also produced "Wild West" with Icelandic collaborator Einar Stef, which reached second place in the Icelandic Eurovision National Selections 2024.
His extensive touring in 2023 and 2024 has included performances across multiple countries and venues, featuring a UK tour, appearances at Pop-Kultur in Berlin, Oslo World, Oslo Prize, Helsinki Pride, Reykjavik Pride, Rome Pride, etc.
