The major AI licensing deals of 2025 opened the gates, and now the harder part begins. As AI systems become embedded in consumer apps, assistants, creative tools, vehicles, smart devices and virtual environments, the music industry is moving into a new era of machine-to-machine micro-licensing. Millions of small usage events will have to be identified, authorised, attributed and reported automatically. Current processes are not built for this level of volume or speed.
This panel brings together experts to explore what infrastructure, attribution standards and operational models will be required for AI-native licensing. We will look at what the next 12 to 18 months demand and where the most immediate opportunities are emerging for rights holders, developers and platforms.
