Estella Reed operates at the vital intersection of music, media, and technology. She is the Co-Founder of the AI in Media Institute (AIMI), a sector-led body that convenes media organisations, creative leaders, and technology companies to develop practical standards, governance frameworks, and workforce readiness for the responsible adoption of AI across the creative industries. AIMI’s work prioritises creative rights, provenance, metadata, and the preservation of machine-readable value in AI-enabled media workflows.
A classically trained musician, Estella spent two decades driving growth for startups across strategy, operations, and culture before returning to the music and creative ecosystems. Today, she leads partnerships and industry convening for AIMI, curating its flagship conference and educational programmes.
Beyond her work at the Institute, Estella is an active advisor within the MusicTech space, recently supporting a venture focused on AI-era A&R and early-stage hit identification. She is currently advising an AI infrastructure startup building a platform for creators to control and monetise their intellectual property. Estella is dedicated to building the cross-sector collaboration and infrastructure required to ensure a fair and sustainable future for all creatives.
