Broadcaster and Presenter at BBC Radio Scotland

Vic Galloway is a broadcaster, journalist, musician and author based in Edinburgh, Scotland. With 25 years' experience, he has presented weekly music programmes for the BBC since 1999, including over 11 years on Radio 1. He continues to present and champion new and classic alternative music every week on BBC Radio Scotland, as well as working for BBC 6 Music and making documentaries for various radio and television stations. His TVCV includes presenting BBC Scotland's coverage of the T in the Park festival for many years, as well as RAPAL and The Music Show. As a journalist, Vic has written for The List, The Times, Sunday Herald, CLASH, Gigwise and The Skinny.

He is also a musician, DJ, curator and presenter of music and literary festivals. His first book 'Songs in the Key of Fife' was published in 2013 and was well received. His follow-up book 'Rip It Up - The Story of Scottish Pop' was published in June 2018 in association with the National Museum of Scotland, along with an accompanying radio and TV series. He freelances, makes podcasts, composes music and promotes nights.
