Artistic Director at Tampere Hall, Business Director at Talo Events

Suvi Leinonen (MA) has been involved in the field of classical music and performing arts as an artistic director, producer, performer, and in various expert and trust positions since 2004. She began her employment with her current employer, Tampere Hall Ltd and Tampere Opera in 2008. In 2019, Leinonen was appointed as a program manager of performing arts and concerts. From the beginning of 2023, she was appointed as the artistic director of Tampere Hall Ltd and business director of Talo Events Ltd.

Prior to this, Leinonen has worked extensively in the arts and culture sector in various roles such as cultural secretary, project leader, and music teacher. She has served as the secretary general for Tampere Opera Foundation since 2012, on the regional board of the Arts Promotion Centre Finland, the steering group of Pirkanmaa Centre for Contemporary Dance and the organizing committee of Tampere Chamber Music Festival. Additionally, she holds international trust positions for example with the Nordic Concert Halls program group. Furthermore, she actively participates in international networks in the field such as the International Society for Performing Arts (ISPA) and Opera Europa. Leinonen holds a Master's degree in Musicology (University of Tampere) and extensive professional studies in early music and music pedagogy.
