Paulina Ahokas is a firm influencer and a pioneer of Finnish cultural and event industries. She is MD of Tampere Hall Ltd, the biggest cultural and congress centre in the Nordic Countries, with a turnover and other incomes of 18,9 million € and 618 000 visitors in 2018. Tampere Hall has been chosen the congress and conference centre of the year for seven years consecutively and it is also the reigning Concert Hall of the Year in Finland. In 2017 the Moomin Museum was opened at Tampere Hall.
Ahokas is member of the Finnish Arts Council, member of the board at the Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE and Music & Media Finland, among others. From 2002-2011 Ahokas managed Music Export Finland which received the Internationalization Award from Finland’s President in 2011, a personal Internationalization Award in 2007, and a Life-Time Achievement Award at Music & Media 2012. She is passionate about enabling wellbeing through culture and believes that empowerment of women globally is the answer to today’s challenges. She has played various instruments to four different records, played 200 concerts and lived in five countries.
