Paulina Ahokas is a pioneer of Finnish cultural industries. She is currently CEO of Tampere-talo Group, leading the biggest cultural and congress centre in the Nordic Countries. From 2002 to 2011 Ahokas promoted export efforts of Finnish music professionals at Music Export Finland which received the Internationalization Award by the President of the Republic in 2011. She received the Internationalization Award by the Association of Finnish Exporters in 2007, and a Life-Time Achievement Award by Music x Media Industry Awards in 2012. She has served as board member at the Finnish Broadcasting Company, as member of the Arts Council of Finland, as the chairman of the selection board of the inaugural International Gender Equality Prize and as a member of Finland’s Country Brand Group in 2009-2010. Passionate about enabling wellbeing through culture, she believes that empowerment of women globally is the answer to today’s challenges.
