Artistic Director and Chief Executive of Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival (hcmf//)

Graham McKenzie is a prominent curator and writer specialising in experimental and new music. Since 2006, he has served as Artistic Director and Chief Executive of the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival (hcmf//). He is also an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Huddersfield and an Associate Member of the Centre for Research in New Music (CeReNeM).

Previously, Graham directed the Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow (CCA) (1997–2006), where he oversaw a £10.2 million building redevelopment. A fixture in the international scene, he is a founding member of Sounds Now and a member of the European Jazz Network.

As a consultant and producer, he co-founded Out Of The Machine Ltd and has curated for Bristol New Music and sonic-a. Graham is a dedicated mentor, regularly contributing to professional development programmes for composers and artists across the UK and Europe.
