Bryant Tan is the Associate Director of Urban Planning for Black Rock City (BRC), a temporary city in northern Nevada that is an experiment in community focused on the arts, a gift economy, and leaving no trace. He manages how services and activities are mapped and located in BRC, facilitates year-round community engagement, and develops policies and programs to support acculturation for Burning Man. His professional experience includes a decade of work for the City and County of San Francisco in community and youth development, and years of experience in SF's Asian American and LGBTQ non-profit communities. As a former president of the San Francisco Entertainment Commission, he holds a Master's in Urban Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.A. in Ethnic Studies from UCLA.
