Bastiaan has a background as an artist manager for several Dutch acts from 2013 until 2019. In this role, he supported them in their international careers and fostered collaborations with partners in Europe. Currently, he coordinates the Music Business minor at NHL Stenden University, focusing on imparting essential skills to young professionals to collaboratively design solutions for the digitising European music sector. Recognising the importance of resilience and personal leadership in the industry, he strives to equip professionals with necessary knowledge and co-create solutions with partners like ESNS, SPOT Groningen, and 3S Music Management. Bastiaan's students and team have showcased their ideas at conferences such as ESNS, Tallinn Music Week, and Spike Bulgarian Music Showcase. He is open to discussing the latest digital concepts that can propel the industry forward and how to facilitate the digital transformation.
