Secretary General of the European Music Council (EMC) since 2003, Ruth leads Europe’s broadest umbrella organisation for musical life in dual leadership with Simone Dudt. She is responsible for the EMC’s strategic development, policy advocacy, and international cooperation projects, including the European Agenda for Music and the Creative Europe-funded Green Beat Nexus.
With a background in Hamburg and Lyon, Ruth has implemented numerous initiatives for organisations such as IRCAM and the IMC. A passionate mentor and frequent conference speaker, she also serves as a volunteer for Soroptimist International and chairs the association supporting the Don Mehloni circus school.
