Ingrid Kohtla is Head of PR & Communications and programme curator at Tallinn Music Week and other projects of Tallinn-based company Shiftworks. She has worked as a music and lifestyle journalist, a booker at Tallinn's influential alternative culture club Von Krahl, Head of Communications and editor at MTV Estonia, directed a music video chart show for ETV2, and lectured at the Estonian Academy of Arts on subculture and style.
Ingrid fosters underdogs and new "glocal" models and her most bonkers TMW moments include co-curating a meta-showcase titled "Brave new sounds of life-hacking, pirate utopias, relentless roar, digital punk, scripture socialism, and other post-genre aftershocks a.k.a. CryptoMarket". Recent pastimes include restoring vintage sneakers, deep-diving into Japanese cinema and living clean in difficult circumstances. A devoted tracker of pop journalism's last traces—long-reads, hot takes, obscure rabbit holes—she remains a poptimistic believer in "Nothing endures but change".
