Chief Executive Officer, Hanaholmen

Gunvor Kronman is an experienced leader with over 40 years of experience of international cooperation. She is currently the CEO of the Hanaholmen Cultural and Cooperation Centre for Sweden and Finland since over 20 years. Hanaholmen brings together key actors from the public, private, and civil sectors with the aim of building joint policies and solutions to common societal objectives. The focus areas are culture, societal resilience, civil preparedness, defense and security, higher education and research, leadership development, and the creation of new Nordic networks. After Estonia’s independence she worked with the Nordic and Baltic Councils to assist the newly independent Baltic states on child right’s issues.

Ms Kronman is also the chair of the Amos Anderson fund, the Augusta Victoria Cancer Hospital in Jerusalem and the girl’s right’s INGO Plan International. Kronman serves on the boards of Åbo Akademi and Mälardalen Universities. Ms Kronman has received several recognitions for promoting Nordic relations and for her humanitarian work. She is a senior visiting lecturer at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. Ms Kronman is also an Eisenhower Fellow. Prior to her current position, Ms Kronman served in several leadership positions within the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
