Activism Consultant at Ninja Tune Records

Dinaz Stafford has had a 30-year career as a Producer, Director and Casting Director in independent film. With a Master's in Child Clinical Psychology, she was part of the core team on the Oscar-nominated film Salaam Bombay! (1988), which led to the creation of Salaam Baalak Trust, a programme for street children in Mumbai and Delhi, India, which she managed for 35 years alongside making independent films on social issues. Returning to the UK after 45 years, she now works with her husband Matt Black on audio-visual projects and is currently in charge of Activism at Ninja Tune Records, London. Coming from a multi-ethnic background that spans the history of British colonialism, Dinaz feels especially drawn to using creativity for social ecology.
