It’s hard to tell which of the many roles Sophie Lindinger is playing in the musical universe are her favourite ones. The 29-year old Austrian is a producer, a performer, a writer and composer. Sometimes all at once, like with My Ugly Clementine, a praised four-piece rock outfit that she founded and produced all its debut tracks for. She’s been a collaborator for more experimental electronic music outfits such as drum’n’bass superheroes Camo & Krooked. She toured the world with Leyya, where she writes, performs and produces edgy pop tunes with longtime musical partner Marco Kleebauer. Also, she writes toplines for pop tunes and has collected four Amadeus Austrian Music Awards during the past five years. She won the European Independent Album Of The Year Award in 2021 (for My Ugly Clementines “Vitamin C”).
