Simon Raymonde

Simon Raymonde is the son of Ivor Raymonde esteemed writer, arranger, producer etc for artists like Dusty Springfield, The Walker Brothers and David Bowie. Simon joined Cocteau Twins at the age of 21 and became a core writer, multi-instrumentalist and co-producer until they ended the band in 1997. Their sound and style have influenced many, and they have been loved by icons like Prince, Robert Smith of The Cure and David Lynch.

Simon started the label Bella Union in 1997 and has discovered artists like Beach House, Fleet Foxes, Father John Misty, John Grant, I Break Horses, Midlake, Laura Veirs, Pom Poko, Explosions in The Sky and hundreds more. Additionally he also now looks after the European releases for bands such as Spiritualized, Mercury Rev, Flaming Lips, Ezra Furman etc. In 2017 he returned to making music once more by forming the duo LOST HORIZONS and they recently released the critically acclaimed second LP In Quiet Moments. The label celebrates 25 years of releasing records in 2022.
