Sigtryggur Baldursson is the managing director for Iceland Music, which is the music export office of Iceland.
A veteran musician outside of Iceland, he is best known for his work with Björk’s first band, the Sugarcubes, from 1986 through 1992. He is co-owner of the music label, Bad Taste (Smekkleysa). He has also worked extensively with Emiliana Torrini and other Icelandic artists. He has an alter ego by the name of Bogomil Font who is the only Calypso singer in Iceland. He also produces Hljomskalinn, an award-winning television series on Icelandic music.
