Philippe Rixhon works on digital rights with creative enterprises, digital service providers, industry trade bodies, law firms and government agencies. He is a Co-Founder and the Chief Executive Officer at Digiciti – a company spearheading the convergence of media, entertainment, technology and copyright policy to create digital infrastructures, and an Industry Associate at the Centre for Blockchain Technologies (University College London) – a multi-disciplinary research centre focusing on the adoption and integration of distributed ledger technologies in our socio-economic system.
Earlier, he assembled and led prestigious multi-disciplinary teams to create ground-breaking systems such as computer integrated manufacturing with Hewlett Packard, predictive maintenance with Framatome, augmented simulcast with Videohouse, and in-video commerce with Deltatre.
Philippe hold degrees in engineering (Université catholique de Louvain), management (Boston University), theatre directing (Middlesex University and Russian Institute of Theatre Arts) and philosophy (Université catholique de Louvain). He is an honorary Doctor of Arts in recognition of outstanding contributions to performing arts creation, production and technology (University of Bedfordshire).
