David McGinnis

Canadian-born London-residing David McGinnis is the Managing Director of Mute Song, the music publishing partner of the eminent Mute record label. McGinnis joined Mute Song as Head of Licensing in 1999. Over two decades his role expanded to encompass A&R, writer relations and business affairs. McGinnis was appointed Managing Director of Mute Song in 2014. Prior, McGinnis held licensing positions with PPL and MCPS where he gained an intimate understanding of the legal and technical foundations of rights management and exploitation in the music industry.

Mute Song publishes music by Jóhann Jóhannsson, Max Richter, Underworld, Public Service Broadcasting, Swans, Bob Geldof, Peter Green, Hannah Peel, Liars, Wire, Charlie Cunningham and many other distinguished composers and recording artists.
