Anu Rannu

Anu Rannu has been involved in organising the Viljandi Folk Music Festival since 2006. In those 15 years, her responsibilities have ranged from the logistics of the performers to being the deputy programme director. Organising ticket sales and security of the event have been her duties for the longest, while in recent years she has also overseen the assembling the festival team, collaborations, project proposals and financing.

Although working in culture management has enabled her to collaborate with various artists, the side of her job she likes the most are the various minor details and nuances of organising major events and creating truly special experiences along with the rest of the team. Starting this year, she also teaches part-time at the University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy, giving lectures to students of culture management.
